The land is mostly used for rice cultivation. The spread of rice production is still concentrated in Java due to high productivity and harvested area compared to the other islands. Other agricultural production is corn, sweet potatoes, peanuts and soybeans. Production of horticultural varieties of vegetables include large red onion, leek, potatoes, cabbage and carrots.
